Our Favorite Dresses from New York Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2018

Every bridal season we continue to be blow away by each designer’s take on wedding gowns.  Just when we start to think that they couldn’t possibly outdo themselves, they amaze us with new, innovate creations! This season was all about the return to classic silhouettes with full, lightweight skirts owning the runway. Gone were last season’s revealing dresses, and in its place designers chose to show some skin in subtle ways with plunging v-necklines, off-the-shoulder cuts, and thigh-high slits.

While we could go on and on about the beadwork and silhouettes, we know you’re here to gape at the beautiful dresses. Here are a few of our favorite looks from the Bridal Fall 2018 collections:

Badgley Mischka

From the curve-hugging silhouette to the breathtaking train, this Badgley Mischka number is a total win in our book.

How gorgeous is the beaded bodice on this gown? When asked to describe this collection, Badgley said, “we don’t believe in harsh lines in bridal. Everything is glamorous and soft and beaded and sensual.”

This gown just might have you rethinking your white wedding dress plans. If you took one look at this dress and thought it belonged on the red carpet, you’re not wrong! The designers named all of the dresses in this collection after their Hollywood clientele. This gown, called the Bianca, is the perfect red-carpet number… don’t be surprised if you see it on a Hollywood starlet this upcoming award season!

This floral-printed gown is the perfect mix of playful and elegant. If you’re planning a garden wedding, this dress hits all the right marks!

New BHLDN bridal gowns

These vintage-inspired gowns are great for any brides looking to put a modern spin on a retro look.

It’s no secret that Marchesa gowns have a special place in our hearts, and this collection was no exception. It’s been days and our jaws are still on the floor over this dress! With its plunging neckline, thigh-high slit, sheer design and beautiful bow detail, to say we’re in love is an understatement!

If you’re planning on going off-the-shoulder, this is a great way to do it!

Leave it to Marchesa to perfect the boho, romantic vibe. With the plunging neckline and bowed sleeves, this dresses is one of our favorites to date.

Reem Acra

The tight bodice and flowy skirt make for the perfect princess gown. All you need is a crown (or a floral headpiece) and you’ll be giving Kate Middleton a run for her money.

Acra is known for her signature embroideries, and this dress with its beautifully crafted threadwork is a perfect example.

Lela Rose

You really can’t go wrong with a simple, sophisticated gown. With this collection, Lela Rose took some of her favorite old world gowns and re-imagined how they would be on modern-day brides.

Artful simplicity and structured silhouettes are key in Rose’s collection.

Vera Wang

We couldn’t have a bridal roundup without including Vera Wang! Wang described this season’s 13-piece collection as having “a volume that’s quite theatrical, in a strange way.” With a mix of lace, embroidery, and unique silhouettes, this assortment is all about “a new way of looking at grandeur.”
