It’s a Threepeat Engagement!

We HAD to share this hilarious pic making the rounds all over the Internet. This Reddit photo has turned into a viral sensation, yet also sums up what a few of you ladies just might be feeling this time of year! The pic tells the tale of three friends who all got engaged right around the same time, surrounded by all of their friends who are super happy for them…minus the lone gal in the bottom left, who appears not quite so amused. Love it! So, why would three of your friends all get engaged right at the same time? Probably because it’s the holiday season…otherwise known as “Engagement Season”, when according to WeddingWire, roughly 33% of all engagements take place. Perhaps the girl has a case of “always the bridesmaid never the bride” times 3??? The good news is she can make her life easier and happier by simply hopping over to Mojuba and getting all of her girlfriends engagement gifts in one easy place – Mojuba Bride Emergency Kits! As far as the bridesmaids dresses go, she’s on her own…

Pantone Color of 2014 is…

radiant orchid

Drum roll, please! Pantone, the authority on all things color, has officially announced the Color of 2014…and it is…Radiant Orchid!! I am loving this color. Don’t get me wrong – the Emerald Green of 2013 was eye-catching for sure, but I am loving the softer, more romantic feel of this pink-purple hybrid. Want a better feel for the color you’ll be graced with in fashion, furniture, makeup and the like for a good 365 days? The folks over at Pantone had this to say about the hottest new shade on the color block:

“Radiant Orchid blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination. It is an expressive, creative and embracing purple—one that draws you in with its beguiling charm. A captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, love and health.”

Joy, love and health? This pretty purple sounds pretty on par with weddings, and we can expect to see it make a huge splash down the aisle in the year to come! Here’s some inspiration to get your purple passion going, just in time for the biggie wedding planning season!

The Wedding Game

Weddings just got competitive. No, I don’t mean in the Pinterest board, blog “real wedding” arena. I’m talking some friendly competition right at the reception! No need to leave it all on the dance floor – now you can have your cake and play Jenga, too. Oversized puzzles and the usual outdoor party games have become some of the most fun party guests to attend your wedding, and they’re arriving all dressed up and ready to play! Love this for the cocktail hour or for an outdoor reception. It gives the guests a silly way to interact and have fun, and the games will totally be the talk of the wedding (besides how great you look, of course!). Plus, you and your hubbs will be prepared for any party fouls with your Mojuba Couples Emergency Kits. Game on!

Personalized Wedding Shoes

Making sure the shoe fits is par for the course for a comfy walk down the aisle, but now it can fit your personality, too! One of my fave ways brides and grooms are adding some custom style to the weddings is with everything from stilettos to Chucks – giving a little personalization with the wedding date or even cutesy little sayings like “I do!” added right to the shoes. Brides can put some heart and soul into the soles with fancy decals or blinged out phrases and dates on the bottom of the shoe – Etsy is a great place to check out all the options, but TheCraftyGeeks is one of my faves (perhaps because of their “sole mate” decals!!). For the groom, get some custom kicks for a more casual wedding or for the reception with Converse that you can literally customize from heel to toe right on the Converse website, with everything from the colors to the embroidered wedding date being all about you. Now that’s a step in the right direction when it comes to some fun (but subtle!) personalization! Plus, you’ve got your handy-dandy feet cushions for those custom heels right in your Mojuba Bride Bag to keep you kicking up your personalized heels all night long.
